Happy Friday divas! The end of the work week is finally upon us and I am so glad for the weekend ahead. Tomorrow is the hubby and my 6 year anniversary (there will be a post with old wedding photos so stay tuned).
Here at Divas Run for Bling, I link up with the Friday Five Linkup with Mar on the Run, Eat Pray Run DC and You Signed Up for What each week. This week’s theme is goals. My birthday is Jan. 18th and I will be 35 this year so I thought it would be fun to share my 5 goals before 35 list.
Prepare for IVF. Pretty much all my goals can fall under this one. After 3 years of trying to get pregnant, the hubby and I have decided to take the plunge and go through IVF at some point in late winter-spring of next year. This means not only getting my health where it needs to be but also things like cleaning up the finances a bit and fixing things around the house that need to be done before children arrive.
Attain “normal” weight. I will be the first to tell you I have issues with my weight and the BMI scale. I mean I lead a pretty healthy life, run half marathons, wear a size 8, but am still considered “borderline obese.” Really? That being said, I do want to lose about 20lbs. or so before my birthday which will put me in the normal range again. I plan on not only running (see above), but also focusing on my diet and nutrition. Oh and finishing the Focus T25 program and starting PiYo Strength (thanks in advance to my running guru Chris who is going to let me borrow his PiYo dvds for this).
Catch up on race scrapbook. So yeah I am a little behind on this. I love scrapbooking (have been doing it since I was 9) and have a racing scrapbook to keep all my bibs, photos and other memorabilia in. Let’s just say that I have photos and bibs up to my April 5Ks but no titles, stickers, etc. on those pages. And don’t have anything after April 5th. I am hoping to get caught up with this by the end of the year.
Spend quality time with the hubby. As this will (hopefully) be the last fall with just the hubby and myself, I am hoping to spend as much quality time with him as I can. He will be doing 3 of the 4 halfs with me (and by with me I mean he will run and meet me at the finish) and we are taking our last adult trip together in November to run the strip in Vegas. But I am also hoping for some fun date nights or weekend hikes as well.
