Spring is finally here which means it’s time for all those yummy spring and early summer fruits and vegetables to arrive. I just love going to the farmer’s market each week to pick up some fresh green beans, squash, zuccini and, of course, strawberries. The market here in Chattanooga opened this week and I have loved eating the fresh produce.
Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits. They can be used in so many things. One of my favorite ways to eat strawberries is in smoothies. They go well with just about any other fruit and several flavors. Today I am going to share one of my favorite strawberry smoothie recipes with you – the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Protein Smoothie.
The Chocolate Covered Strawberry Protein Smoothie is great for a mid afternoon or post workout snack. It uses fresh strawberries (though you can use frozen if need be), greek yogurt (I love vanilla with this) and chocolate protein powder (I use Ignite Naturals I.N. Extreme Energy).
