Hello divas! I hope that you have had a fantastic weekend are are excited to start a new week ahead. My weekend was super relaxing even though it felt more like September than almost November here in Tennessee. This gave me plenty of time to get some work done and practice my Country Heat Live routine for when I start teaching next week (hopefully). I always spent some time meal planning so I can do a better job of staying on track with my healthy eating. One of my favorite ways to do this is with my protein shakes. So today I thought I would share a new easy healthy recipe – my dark chocolate latte protein shake.
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know how much I love my smoothies and protein shakes (especially my Shakeology). They are super easy to make when you are in a rush. They have so many important nutrients, vitamins and minerals that your body needs to function each day. And are super versatile – they can be used as a dessert, snack or even a meal replacement if need be.
I am also a huge coffee fan. I just love the stuff and would honestly drink it every day if I had the chance. Which is why I was beyond excited when I found out that Beachbody was releasing a coffee flavor of their Shakeology earlier this year. The Cafe Latte flavor uses whole coffee fruit to give it a creamy and delicious coffee flavor to the shake. This also means that I get my coffee flavor with only a fraction of the caffeine as my previous daily cup of coffee.
This recipe is so easy to make. I took my Shakeology Cafe Latte powder and simply added some vanilla almond milk and dark chocolate chips to give it a little more of a mocha flavor. If you don’t have a coffee flavored protein shake, you can get the same effect with vanilla protein powder and some fresh brewed coffee. Once the ingredients are in the cup, you blend until smooth then serve and enjoy. It’s that easy.Need a #healthy pick me up?
