Hello divas and happy Saturday! The weekend is here and I hope that you have some fabulous plans. It is the first Saturday of the month which means it is time for The Ultimate Coffee Date December 2014. This is a time to catch-up with the goings on around Divas Run for Bling and my life. So grab a cup of coffee and let’s chat.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I finished my fall racing season. I ran 2 half marathons (the Chickamauga Battlefield Half and the Rock n’ Roll Las Vegas Half) the first two weeks of the month to finish my 7 halfs for 2014 (along with several 5Ks as well). Five of those halfs were since August. It was a busy season but a fun one.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I am finally starting to get back into the swing of things. After finishing the racing season, I took a week of so and did absolutely nothing. It was great except that I got sick following that week so my one week off turned into 2.5 weeks. But I am feeling better and ready to get back into the fitness swing of things. I have also started running again – complete with cold weather and darkness but it is good to be back outside.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I had a fairly healthy and absolutely fabulous Thanksgiving with the exception of the sinus issues I was fighting. I was able to share some of my favorite healthy fall recipes and had a great post-turkey workout from home on black Friday.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have been busy compiling my wish lists for Christmas. I think I have been pretty good this year so I am hoping that Santa will bring me some great items. Be sure to check out my gift guides for the healthy cook, the runner and those wanting to get divas fit at home.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that December is here and I am hoping for a wonderful holiday season. I have a couple of 5Ks planned – a Christmas themed one next week and a night race on New Year’s Eve. I am also looking forward to starting Shaun T’s new workout program Insanity Max 30 next week (if it gets delivered in time) to help improve my fitness level and work off holiday calories so stay tuned for those updates. Lastly, be sure to check back this month as I share some of my favorite healthy holiday recipes, end of year recaps and holiday workouts.
