Hello divas! I hope that your week has gotten off to a great start so far. Mine has been pretty busy since classes have started back but good.
Coming back from my injury and getting the semester started has been hard on the healthy diet. I tend to eat when I can and have had to get creative when it comes to healthy snacking.
I have a serious problem with sugar. As in I love the stuff (see how to stop sugar cravings). And I also don’t always get enough protein in my diet which can be an issue since I am working on toning and strength to help me get back to my normal fitness level. So today I am sharing an easy healthy recipe that is perfect for a snack when you are craving something sweet but still need to eat healthy – my dark chocolate cookie dough greek yogurt.
I just love this recipe. It contains only 3 ingredients, is easy to make and fills you up all afternoon long. Not to mention it is loaded with protein thanks to the greek yogurt. I am a big fan of chocolate so I added the dark chocolate chips to it for the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor. You can add just about anything you like to change the flavor up a bit.
To make this yummy snack, you simply take a container (about 6 oz.) of vanilla greek yogurt. Alternatively if you don’t like the vanilla, you can take plain greek yogurt and add a touch of vanilla flavoring to it. Next comes the peanut butter – I love peanut butter powder for this. You can substitute any kind of nut butter you like if peanut butter isn’t your thing. Last, you add the dark chocolate chips. From here you can enjoy or pack it in a small container to take with you when you are on the go (or trying to stay healthy at work).
