Hello divas! I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far. The weather here is looking more and more like spring so I am loving getting to spend all the time outdoors. I am also slowly getting ready for Easter. The hubby and I do not have kids yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still participate in all the Easter fun. We have 2 cats and a dog and they ALWAYS get Easter baskets from the Easter bunny. But it is important to me that what is in the baskets helps them maintain happy and healthy lives. So I am super excited to work with IAMS™ today to help create my easy diy Easter basket for my cats.
The first step to creating any diy Easter basket is to gather all the supplies that you will need. So I headed to my local Walmart to pick up the basket and fake grass, a new cat toy, markers and food bowls and, of course my IAMS™ cat treats and IAMS™ Proactive Healthy Adult Dry Cat Food w/ Chicken. You can find them in the pet aisle.
One of the things I focus on in my life is being fit and healthy – which includes making sure I am eating a healthy diet most of the time. The same goes for our furry family members. It is so important to feed them quality food like IAMS™ Proactive Healthy Adult Dry Cat Food w/ Chicken so that they can continue to maintain a healthy life. With the new reformulations of both the food and treats, IAMS™ allows cat lovers to customize their cat’s nutrition through a well balanced lifestyle with IAMS™ dry food, wet food and treats. I love that IAMS™ now offers treats that target specific dietary needs—Hairball Care, Digestive Health, and Oral Care. Both my cats are senior cats so as they get older it becomes more important to do things like take care of their teeth and digestive system. And one of my cats is part-Persian so you can imagine the hairball issues that arise in my house. For the basket, I opted for the IAMS™ Proactive Healthy Adult Dry Cat Food w/ Chicken, Hairball Care treats in Chicken flavor and Oral Care treats in Salmon flavor.
The next things that any good Easter basket for a healthy cat need are bowls to eat the healthy food and treats. I am a pretty creative person so I love the idea of creating your own personalized bowls for you cats. I simply took white ceramic bowls and some paint markers and decorated a new bowl for each of my cats.
Finally, the last thing that needs to be added to the basket is a new toy. My cats really don’t play as much as when they were younger, but it is super important that they stay active as they age. It is good for both their physical and mental health. To this day, their favorite types of toys are what I call the fishing rod toys. I picked a new one up while I was at Walmart, but you can also make these yourself pretty easily. After this, you are done.
While I was putting the basket together, one of my cats decided he wanted to check out his new treats and toys. I think it was a success 🙂
