Hello divas and happy Thursday! I don’t know about you but I am so glad that this week is coming to an end. If you have been reading Divas Run for Bling over the past couple of weeks, you know that I have been sharing some of my favorite things gift ideas. I have shared both a Christmas wish list for the healthy cook and for runners. Today I am sharing my Get Diva Fit at Home Wish List.

As you know, I love running. But I also realize that not everyone is a runner and that even runners need some cross-training options for getting and staying fit. A great gift idea to get fit is to ask for personal training sessions and/or gym memberships. However, not everyone wants a personal trainer or has the time to hit the gym. So I am sharing some of my favorite things that can help you get into shape and stay fit from the comfort of your own home (if you love working out from home, be sure to check out my Workouts From Home).
Workout DVDs. There are so many workout DVDs out there today. I love the Beachbody programs, though. (I am not a Beachbody coach, I just really like the programs). My two favorite at the moment in Focus T25 and PiYo. Both are great programs to get into shape. The Focus T25 is a Tabata/HIIT style workout while PiYo is a mixture of Pilates and Power Yoga.
Weights. If you are cross-training and getting fit at home, you will need some hand weights for strength training. I have both a set of kettlebells and dumbbells, both of which I LOVE.
Wearable Activity Tracker. Technology has come a long way. I never had the option of wearing a tracker on my arm that told me what my sleep was like, how many steps I have taken, how many calories I burned and so much other information. This is a great item to help keep you on track. There are many to choose from, but I love the Fitbits.
Heart Rate Monitor. I have just started using a heart rate monitor for some of my workouts. Basically they show you how hard your body is working. You can also use it to track how long you have been working out, how many calories you have burned and to set up intervals for interval training.
A good pair of training shoes. As with running, you will need a good pair of shoes. I sometimes will use old running shoes, but preferably you will need a good pair of cross-trainers that are made for the types of fitness you will be doing at home. I love the Reebok Cross Fit shoes because they are made for fitness.
Yoga accessories. I love yoga as both a stress relief and cross-training for my running. There are so many fun yoga accessories to help you in your practice. At the very least you will need a good yoga mat. I also highly recommend a yoga towel for your mat if you are doing PiYo or Power Yoga where you will sweat a lot. It will help keep you from slipping in your poses.
