It is February 1st. So to celebrate the completion of one month of 2014, I am starting a new series: This Month in Review. This will be a time to review the goings on here at Divas Run for Bling in January and set some goals for February.
Total Mileage – 28.44 miles. I got a little bit of a slow start in January to my Run This Year Challenge and am a little bit behind. I am hoping to catch up over the next few months as I have several half marathons coming up.
Strength Training. My birthday was this this month and my husband decided to get me a set of kettlebells as a gift. Which was a fabulous idea if I say so myself as I have been wanting to add some strength training into my regimen. Here is my current 15 minute total body kettlebell workout:
14 in 2014 update. So far this year, I have completed one race – The Hot Chocolate 15K Atlanta.
GOALS FOR FEBRUARY
1. Move Nourish Believe Challenge. I will be participating in the Move Nourish Believe Challenge during the month of February. I will be posting photos of the challenges on my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram daily and reviewing my progress each Saturday here on Divas Run for Bling. I can’t wait.
2. 14 in 2014 Challenge. I have 2 races planned for February – The Snowball Shuffle 8K Virtual Race and the Scenic City Half Marathon here in Chattanooga, TN. I will be sure to post all the the photos and recaps along the way.
3. I want to do a weight training workout at least twice a week.
4. My mileage goal for the month is 60 miles. This averages out to about 15 miles a week.
