Hello divas! I hope that you have had a fabulous week so far. Mine has been pretty good. The weather is a little dreary but I am slowly starting to get back into the swing of things.
I can’t believe that March is almost here – as in it starts tomorrow. I love March because it’s time for the time to change (woohoo for more daylight!), warmer weather and, of course, St. Patrick’s Day (all that green!). With St. Patrick’s Day only a week or so away, I thought today I would share an easy healthy recipe – my skinny shamrock mint protein shake.
If you read my blog regularly, you know that I am a huge fan of protein shakes and smoothies. They are a great way to pack much needed nutrients in a fun, on-the-go snack or meal replacement. Shakes and smoothies are also easily customized so you can add or subtract ingredients to your taste or specific dietary needs. And my Shakeology is among the best I’ve tried for all of this.
This particular shake recipe is one of my favorites. There are so many yummy nutrients packed into a single glass. It is a green smoothie so you can use whatever your favorite greens are. I used a power blend of greens which included spinach, chard and kale. You can also use whatever milk you have on hand, but I am a big fan of almond milk.
