Hi everyone. The second week of the Move Nourish Believe Challenge sponsored by Fit Approach and Lorna Jane Active has finished. In case you are a little curious about this challenge, here is how it works. Each weekday of the week has a challenge based around the weekly theme that I have to complete. I will share photos of the challenges via my Twitter and Instagram accounts then recap the week here on the blog. I just completed week 2’s challenges based around the theme Nourish
Day 1 (2/10): Go Meatless. It was meatless Monday for me this week. I like to consider myself a flexitarian of sorts as I usually have a few days a week where I go meatless so this was not that hard for me. Here is the photo of my lunch and snacks at work to give you an idea of how the day went.
Day 2 (2/11): Take your lunch to work day. This was super easy for me as I always take my lunch to work so that I can better control the foods I eat and the calories I consume. My lunch today was similar to my meatless monday.
Day 3 (2/12): Write it down. I typically write most of my days’ food down as I am trying to lose some weight. It was a snow day for me so everything I ate was what I had at home. It turned out pretty well.
Day 4 (2/13): Smoothie day. Ah I love smoothie day. I am a big believer in all things smoothie. They are a great way for a nutritious and low calorie snack or meal replacement. For smoothie day, I made a Very Berry Protein Smoothie. Yum.
Day 5 (2/14): Go Raw Friday. This was the hardest of the challenges this week. Though I usually will snack on some fruit throughout the day, I usually cook most of my food. And it was Valentine’s Day to top it off. On this day I did manage a banana for a snack and a wonderful bowl of salad greens to go with my spaghetti with breadcrumbs and olive oil for dinner.
It was a great week and I am so excited to move onto the final week of the challenge where I will be doing challenges based around the theme of Believe.
