Disclosure: I received complementary customized oatmeal from My Oatmeal via Fit Approach. I received no other compensation for this review. The opinions are original and mine alone.
Hi divas! It’s Thursday which means it is time for another edition of Recipe Thursday here at Divas Run for Bling. Today is a special edition of Recipe Thursday as I am review My Oatmeal and sharing a recipe that I made with the oatmeal.
I have to say that My Oatmeal is fabulous. Basically, you go to the site and build you custom organic oatmeal. There are 3 sizes of bags, 5 different types of oats, 49 different flavors (including 4 organic flavors), 18 fruits, 12 seeds and extras, and 5 sweeteners you can choose from to make one of the literally thousands flavors of oatmeal. They have organic and gluten-free options so this oatmeal can be made for any diet. You can also build your own flavored PB Lean (powdered peanut butter).
For the purpose of this review, I customized two 1lb. bags of oatmeal as my husband and I eat ALOT of oatmeal. I created 2 flavors – Diva Strawberry Cheesecake and Diva Red Velvet. The Diva Strawberry Cheesecake was built using steel-cut oats, cheesecake flavoring, strawberries, brown sugar and chia seeds. The Diva Red Velvet was created with 5 grain rolled oats + flax, red velvet flavoring, and brown sugar. They arrived a few days later and I was super excited to try them out.
Each of the blends were pretty easy to prepare. The back of the packages show not only the nutrition information for your blend, but the cooking instructions for both microwave and stove top. I tried both flavors for breakfast and they were super yummy. I especially loved the red velvet flavor.
There are other ways to use oatmeal than just in a bowl for breakfast. So this Recipe Thursday, I am sharing my Oatmeal Smoothie Recipe. You can use any type of oatmeal with this recipe. For the purpose of this review, I used the Diva Strawberry Cheesecake flavor.
If you get the chance, you need to try the oatmeal. It is so fun to decide what flavor(s) you want to try and it make a super nutritious and yummy meal.
I love hearing from all of you! What flavor of oatmeal would you like to try?
