Hello divas! I hope that you have had a fabulous week and are looking forward to the weekend. I am thrilled to be staying home this weekend and watching some football. And planning out my Christmas gift list. I often enjoy making gifts when I can – especially if those on my list are like me and want to live as natural as possible. One of my favorite gifts to make is homemade sugar scrubs. This is one way that I try to keep my skin in tip top shape is to regularly exfoliate. But, like with many things in my life, I strive to keep my skincare as natural as possible. I just really hate all the added chemicals that sometimes occur in over-the-counter products. So I have made a homemade DIY peppermint sugar scrub that is all-natural, easy to make (only 3 ingredients) and effective in exfoliating your skin to keep it looking fresh and youthful (and makes a fantastic holiday gift!).
If you have been reading the blog recently, you know that I have begun experimenting with essential oils. Whether it is making my own homemade bug repellent to keep the mosquitos and other pests away while I enjoy the outdoors or some easy DIY lavender bath salts to help relieve some of the stresses of the day, I love how the essential oils help to make a more natural option of many products I buy off the shelf.
This peppermint sugar scrub is super easy to make. It contains only 3 all-natural ingredients – raw sugar, coconut oil and the peppermint essential oil. You simply melt the coconut oil them combine it with the sugar. Then add a few drops of peppermint essential oil, mix together and you have a fabulous scrub that is great for your face, feet and all body parts in between.
