Hello divas! I hope that you fabulous week so far and that you are gearing up for a fantastic holiday weekend. My Thanksgiving as always will be a little busy with having two different meals with family but it will great to see everyone and, of course, enjoy all the yummy food. It is a time when a lot of us (me included!) tend to overindulge a bit. So today I am sharing a short workout you can do from home that will torch some of those excess calories – my Torch That Turkey Post Thanksgiving HIIT Workout.
If you are a regular reader here at Divas Run for Bling, you know that I LOVE HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts. There are many benefits to this type of workout including how great this kind of workout is for burning calories and the fact that you can get a full body workout in a minimal amount of time. This makes it ideal for those of us leading busy lives who sometimes have a hard time carving enough time to get a long run or some gym time in.
This new workout takes only 15 minutes to do (though you can do 2-3 rounds and make it a longer workout). Also, the strength training portion of this workout does not require any equipment – the exercises all use just your body weight. Though you can add a kettlebell or dumbbells to several of the exercises for added resistance and calorie burn. It is designed as an AMRAP (as many reps as possible) workout so you just do as many of each exercise in 1 minute as your fitness level lets you. You can also rest 30 seconds between exercises if need be.
