Hello divas! I hope that you are having a fantastic week so far. I am still trying to get back into the swing of things but it’s pretty good so far. I am also so excited that it is football playoff season. I can’t wait to watch the NCAA national football championship next week as well as my beloved Atlanta Falcons in the NFL playoffs in the next couple of weeks. And of course the Super Bowl is right around the corner. While I love watching all this football, I realize I also need to keep moving from time to time. So checkout another one of my easy workouts from home, my Super Bowl Kettlebell Workout, as a fun way to get some fitness in while enjoying all the big games.
Strength training is an important aspect of any exercise regimen. It can help increase your metabolic rate, increase your bone density (especially important for women as we age), increases your strength and endurance and can help boost your energy level.
Kettlebells have become one of my favorite ways to add strength training to my regimen. Kettlebell training involves multiple muscles groups so you get better results in less time. It can also increase your resistance to injury, improve your range of motion and allows you to work aerobically and anaerobically at the same time.
With this in mind, I have created this fun kettlebell workout that you can do while you are watching the big game. You can choose to do it for a quarter, a half or the entire game. It just depends on how much chips and salsa you need to work off :). While these exercises are designed for kettlebells, you can also use a set of dumbbells if you don’t have any kettlebells at home. Also, the burpees, push-ups and plank can be done with or without the weights.
