Hello divas and happy Saturday. I am hoping for a super relaxing yet active weekend. It is the first Saturday of the month which means it is time for another Ultimate Coffee Date link-up with Jill Conyers, Grab Your Kicks and Fitness Mom Wine Country. So without further ado, the Ultimate Coffee Date August 2.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that my hubby and I just celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We went to the local minor league baseball game and had tons of food that aren’t good for me. It was pretty appropriate since that is where we had our wedding reception. We had a blast and look forward to many other anniversaries to come.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I am towards the end of my third week of the FocusT25 program. It has been pretty tough so far and I am not seeing any super results – yet. I am, however, feeling stronger than before I started. I even was able to do a few burpees during the total body circuit this week. I am still getting my fitness base set so I am hoping that as I progress through the program I will feel stronger, faster and see some results.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I signed up for my first half marathon of the fall. I am thrilled to be running the Divas Half Marathon just outside of Atlanta. Though it will probably be hot on Sept. 6th, it should be super fun – and pink. I don’t feel like I am in that great of shape and my miles are lagging a bit, so I just want to finish under the 3.5 hour time limit (which would still be a PR for me). I have at least 3 other half marathons planned later in the fall where I am chasing my first sub-3 hour finish.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I think Mother Nature is menopausal or something. I mean one week it feels like a typical late summer day in southern Tennessee – hot in the 90s, at least 50% humidity, a heat index that is nearly triple digits and my runs having to be done before the sun rises. Then the next week and a half or so it feels more like September – low to mid 80s, almost no humidity and being able to run when the sun is still up. It has been weird and is not helping with the whole acclimating to the heat thing.
I think that is it for now and I can’t wait to see you again next month for the Ultimate Coffee Date.
