Hello divas! I hope that you had a fabulous week and are ready what will hopefully be a great weekend. I plan on staying close to home again and enjoying the more seasonal weather here in Tennessee. As you probably know by now, I am currently working my way through the Hammer and Chisel program in an effort to supplement my running training by building some muscle and toning up the ones I have. One thing that I have learned so far (aside from eating a clean & healthy diet) is the importance of protein and how it helps build and maintain your muscles. It is also a good idea to start your day off right with having some protein for breakfast. So today I am sharing another easy healthy recipe that is a great source of protein to start your day – my veggie egg scramble.
I’m sure we’ve all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. With my eating healthy goal this year, I am beginning to realize how important it is to get your day started right. Protein is a great way to start your day as it is filling (so you’ll avoid those trips to the vending machine), it gives you energy to get your day started (so you don’t need a nap) and can even help rev up your metabolism in the morning (to help you lose those last few pounds). Eggs are a great source of nutrients, including protein.
I love this recipes because it is so quick and easy to make. It is filled with essential nutrients that your body needs throughout the day. It is also easily customizable to your particular tastes and will fit in almost every diet. If you prefer a bit more protein, you can add some lean meat or tofu as well.
