Welcome to another edition of Recipe Thursday! As you probably already know, I have been participating in the Move Nourish Believe Blogger Challenge sponsored through FitApproach and Lorna Jane Athletic. Last week’s theme was Move where I completed challenges related to exercise. This week’s theme is Nourish. All of the challenges this week are related to eating healthy. If you have been following along on Twitter and Instagram, you know that I went meatless on Monday, took my lunch to work on Tuesday and documented what I ate yesterday. Today’s challenge is Smoothie Day.
Now as you probably know by reading this blog, I love a good smoothie. They are delicious and can be a healthy choice for an easy snack or even a meal replacement. So for today’s Recipe Thursday I am sharing another of my favorite healthy smoothie recipes – The Very Berry Protein Smoothie Recipe.
Very Berry Protein Smoothie
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen blackberries
1 container vanilla greek yogurt (I used Yoplait 100 Greek)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used VegaOne Vanilla Chai Nutritional Shake)
1 cup vanilla almond milk
Place all ingredients in the blender and puree. Pour in a glass and enjoy!
