Hello divas! I hope that your week has been going well so far. Mine has been going pretty well and I am happy to say the temperatures here in Tennessee have been fantastic. I just love warm weather. But what I love most about the warm weather is all the fruits and vegetables that start to come into season this time of year. If you are a regular reader of the blog, you know that one thing I am passionate about is healthy eating and staying hydrated. There are so many issues that we sometimes have that can be fixed if we drink enough water. One way to stay hydrated is with some homemade juice. Juicing is something that I have been experimenting with off and on for a while and today I am sharing a fun, easy healthy recipe to enjoy this spring and summer – my watermelon basil cooler.
This recipe is absolutely perfect for the summer. For one, watermelon is probably my favorite fruit for this time of year. It is so delicious and it is one of those water dense foods which can help you drink enough water. I also love the lime flavor of this particular juice as it is light and oh so refreshing.
Juices are a lot easier to make than you think. This particular recipe only requires a blender and 3 ingredients – watermelon, basil and lime. You can choose to add a little ice if you want as well. You just put the ingredients into the blend and puree until smooth then enjoy a fabulously refreshing summer drink for your next fun summer get together or meal. I promise you won’t be sorry you did 🙂
