Hello divas! I can’t believe the weekend went by so fast and it is the start of another week. This is the busy time at work so I expect to be stressed and tired (and sometimes annoyed) over the next few weeks. Thank goodness for my workouts 🙂 It is Monday which means it is time for another edition of The Weekly Report – a weekly series here at Divas Run for Bling when I share what happened last week and set some goals for this coming week. So without further ado, here is my week.
The Weekly Report August 11
Running. I still only ran 3 days this week. Two of those days I only made it 1 mile due to weather (we are in the typical summer weather pattern when we have pop up thunderstorms every day). The good news is that I finally got a long run in and felt pretty good about it. I ran for an hour on Saturday night (about 4 miles or so). Still not where I want to be one month away from my half marathon but I am getting there which is good.
Other workouts. As with the past few weeks, I worked out 5 days this week and got all my T25 workouts in. I am improving – especially with speed, agility and cardio. I still have to modify a little bit with the lower body and abs and quite a bit for the total body circuit. But even with the modifications I am still getting a good sweat on in each.
Nutrition. This was a pretty good week nutrition wise – with the exception of date night. This week the hubby and I decided to eat at a local barbecue restaurant which was oh so yummy – and not good for the diet. I also went a little bit over on Saturday but my long run helped out a lot with that. I am still learning and working on not necessarily the calories as much but what I am putting into my body. And it is getting better each week.
Swirlgear delivery. One of the highlights of the week was my new Swirlgear delivery. Swirlgear just released their new Fall/Winter 2014 line and it is fabulous. I will be doing a review on some of the pieces on Wednesday and running a giveaway for a piece from the line so stay tuned.
- Running. I want to add a 4th day to my running this week. My long run will be an hour and a half long or somewhere between 6 and 7 miles.
- Other workouts. This is my last week of T25 alpha and I will get all of those workouts in. This will be a total of 6 days of workouts.
- Nutrition. I will continue to track my food. One thing I want to work on this week is cooking almost all the nights and focusing on what I am putting in my body as much as how much.
