Hello divas and happy Monday. It is the beginning of another week which means it is also time for another edition of The Weekly Report here on Divas Run for Bling. This is a chance for me to share the happenings of the past week and set some goals for this coming week.
The Weekly Report June 16
Workouts. I did pretty well this week on the exercise front. I ran three days for a total of 7 miles. I also got one day of strength training in.
Braves 5K. I ran my first race since April on Saturday, the Braves Country 5K, with my sister. I finished in 48:01 which was a little on the slow side, but it was a blast finishing inside Turner Field. Be sure to check back tomorrow for a full recap of the race.
Atlanta Zoo. Following the race, my sister and I had a fun trip to the Atlanta Zoo. I love seeing all the animals, especially the giant pandas and the gorillas. Though, the pink flamingos always make me smile. I mean who does’t love animals that are pink 🙂
Father’s Day. As part of the Braves 5K, we got free tickets to the Braves-Angels game that night. My sis and I decided to treat our dad to a ticket to the game so her husband, his dad and our dad met us for the game. It was so much fun – even though the Braves.
- Workouts. Following the Braves 5K, I realize that I still have some work to do on the running front. I plan to run 4 days this week and get at least 10 miles in. I also want to get 2 days of strength training in as well.
- Nutrition. This past weekend was horrid for my nutrition. This week I want to get back on track. This means no fast food this week and cooking at home every night.
