Hello divas and happy Monday! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I know I did. I spent the past 5 days in Savannah, GA at the Fitbloggin’ conference. It was so much fun, but I am so glad to be home.
Every Monday, I share a recap of the goings on of the past week and set some goals for the upcoming week. So here goes.
The Weekly Report June 30
Workouts. My workouts were less than normal this week. I actually only got one run in, a 5K while at Fitbloggin. However, while I Fitbloggin, I did a celebrity training toning workout, yoga, PiYo + Insanity and a whole lot of walking. So I say I did pretty well overall.
Fitbloggin. Obviously, the big news of the week was my attendance at Fitbloggin. I got to meet and network will health and fitness bloggers from all over the country. I also participated in workouts (see above), attended sessions to learn how to be a better blogger and explored Savannah. I will be spending several posts this week sharing all the fun times I had at the conference.
Fangirl moment. While at Fitbloggin, I got to meet my running hero, Jeff Galloway. I had a total fangirl moment when I met him. I told him how he helped me start running half marathons, gave him and big hug, and took a photo. It was one of my favorite moments of the weekend.
- Running. This week starts my half marathon training. I plan on running 4 days, for a total of around 11 miles. It is going to be hot, humid and a little miserable this week, so I will be running in the mornings.
- Other training. As part of my running regimen, I am adding 2 days of strength training on the days I am doing my shorter runs. I also will be doing some yoga stretches (see my review of MyYogaWorks for some fabulous yoga workouts you can do at home). There will be 1 day of cross-training, though I am not sure what as of yet.
- Nutrition. The food in Savannah was fabulous. A little too fabulous at times it seems. I want to work hard to detox a bit and to get back on track nutrition wise as I begin my training regimen.
- Blogging. Be sure to check back regularly this week as I will be posting my Fitbloggin recaps. I will post about the workouts on Wednesday, the food (and a recipe) on Thursday, my favorite parts on Friday and lessons I learned on Saturday.
