Hello divas! I hope that your week is going well so far. I have been dealing with some winter weather here in Tennessee, though thankfully it’s only been the cold temperatures and not snow or ice. I mean it’s March. Not January.
But it is that time of year – when winter weather can make it difficult to get outside for a run or to head to the gym. Which is why I love to workout at home. You can do it indoors where it’s warm and not snowy or icy and on your own time. So today I am sharing another one of my workouts from home – a quick 20 minute Tabata workout that you can do when you are stuck at home.
If you are a follower of Divas Run for Bling, you know that I am a fan of circuit training as part of my cross training regimen with my running. Specifically I love high intensity interval training (HIIT) because of the benefits of this type of exercise.
One type of interval training that I am love, thanks in part to when I was exposed to in through the Insanity Max30 program, is Tabata style workouts. These interval workouts are easy to follow with a simple 20 seconds of exercise followed by 10 second of rest. You can move through the exercises quickly and you can make it as short or long as you like. It can be full-body or a target a specific zone. Which is where today’s workout comes in.
This particular workout is 20 minutes long so it can be squeezed into even the busiest schedule. It also requires no equipment except your own bodyweight so it can be done from just about anywhere. So whether you want a quick workout on a busy day or you are stuck at home under a couple of feet of snow, this workout is the perfect way to get diva fit.Stuck inside?
