Hello divas! I hope that your week has been going well so far. It is getting closer to the weekend which means more football. Oh and I will be doing another super fun 5K so stay tuned :). So if you are a regular reader of Divas Run for Bling, you know that one of my favorite things to do is cook. I especially love cooking easy healthy recipes that the whole family will love. But to be honest, there are days when I just don’t want to go into the kitchen to prepare a meal. This is when I am so thankful for super easy recipes that even my non-chef of a wonderful husband can fix. So today I am sharing one of those recipes that my husband made me for dinner last night thanks to Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties – his hickory bacon & white cheddar chicken sandwich with sautéed squash and zucchini.
Now when the hubby is making dinner, it needs to be easy and relatively quick. Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties are a fully-cooked patty that’s ready straight from the microwave in just about a minute. While we love to light up the grill, it is not always an option depending on weather and/or time. But these Ball Park® Patties have that juicy, flame-grilled taste but with no grill required. And did I mention you can make them in the microwave in about a minute? Ball Park® Patties are available in the frozen food section of Publix and come in 7 different flavors, including the new Hickory Smoked Bacon & White Cheddar Chicken Patties which the hubby used for this recipe.
The preparation of this yummy recipe started with a trip to our local Publix. There we found the section of the Ball Park® Patties in the frozen food section. We were able to pick up the Hickory Smoked Bacon & White Cheddar Chicken Patties along with a package of the Beef and Cheese Patties then headed home to make dinner.
The hubby loved how easy this recipe was to make. It was literally as easy as taking one of the Ball Park® Patties from the bag, placing it on a plate and cooking in the microwave for 60-90 seconds. While he was cooking the patties, he was able to toast the buns and sauté the squash and zucchini in a small fry pan with some extra virgin olive oil and vegetable seasoning.
Once the patties were done, he set about preparing the sandwich. For this particular recipe, he used some organic spring mix and honey mustard.
Lastly, he added the sautéed squash and zucchini to the plate. In under 10 minutes, he had prepared a healthy, quick and delicious dinner that is perfect for those busy nights when you don’t have time to cook.
