Hello divas! I hope that your week has been going well. The weather here is finally feeling like fall and I have had sinus issues all week to prove it lol. But I am getting ready for Thanksgiving and the kickoff of the holiday season.
I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am that it is finally almost Christmas season. I just love this time of year with all the parties and decorations and time spent with family and friends. It is important, however, to keep up with some of those healthy habits we’ve started to set this year.
And let’s face it. It’s not always fun to get a workout in. So to make things more interesting today I am sharing my 12 Days of Christmas HIIT Workout.
One of my favorite things about this season is all the fun Christmas music. The 12 days of Christmas is one of my absolute favorite songs is the 12 Days of Christmas – specifically the John Denver/Muppets version. It just makes me want to sing along and gets me in the holiday spirit. I also love eating this time of year – especially the yummy sweets. While I always try to lighten up my favorite recipes when I can (see my Easy Red Velvet Cool Whip Cookies), it is not always possible. So I need fun ways to work off some of those calories.
With all this in mind, I created a fun new high intensity interval training workout to get you in the mood for the season and to help burn off some of the excess calories and the best part is that it is based on my favorite song. You can do all of these exercises with just your body weight (though some such as the bicep curls work best with a set of kettlebells or dumbbells). For an extra bit of fun, be sure to sing the 12 Days of Christmas song while you workout!
