Hello divas! I hope that your week is going well. It’s been a little busy around here and I have started my half marathon training which means making time of for my workouts. While I truly enjoy all this, it can also be daunting and exhausting.
As you know, I am a big believer is trying to live as green and natural as possible. While I will admit that I do not always get there (organic can be so expensive sometimes!), it is something I strive for. Which is why I have started experimenting with essential oils a bit.
And one thing I have learned so far is that they can help when it comes to relaxing. So today I am sharing my easy diy lavender bath salts as a way to help get your relaxation on at home.
I am lucky that my life in general is not super stressful. Running and fitness has helped alleviate some of that thank goodness. But between what stress exists in my life and the sore muscles that come with all the fitness, I love nothing more than a nice long soak in the bathtub. But I really am not fond of all the extra stuff that is found in conventional bath salts so I set out to make some for myself.
This recipe is so easy – there are literally only 3 ingredients. You simply combine them together and put into a pretty jar. This allows you to store them easily until ready for use or for you to give them as a gift to friends and family. You can use any essential oil you like. I chose lavender because it is one that reduces stress and is probably one of my favorite smells. You can also combine or add other essential oils depending on what you are looking for in your bath salts.
