Hello divas! I hope that your week has gotten off to a fabulous start so far. As you probably know, I spent my weekend in sunny Savannah, GA at the Fitbloggin’ 2014 conference. I will be spending the next few days reviewing my experiences there and what I learned along the way. But today I thought I would share some of my favorite photos of the weekend. So enjoy my Fitbloggin 2014 in Photos.
Travels to Savannah
My trip to Savannah was quite eventful if I say so myself. I picked up Julie from ROJ Running in Atlanta and began the final 4 hours to the coast. Along the way, we stopped for gas about an hour outside of Savannah only to find a small petting zoo of sorts – next to a gas station. So of course we had to check out the animals.
Arrival in Savannah
We finally arrived in Savannah and got checked into the hotel. I met one of my fabulous roomies, Lynne from Random Lynne and we headed down to River Street to check out some of the scenery. We then checked in for the conference, had some dinner at the Irish pub and chilled out a bit till it was time to hop on the hearse for the ghost tour. By the time we returned, our other roomie, Brooke from Brooke Not On a Diet was there and it was time for some rest.
The second day of the conference consisted of a workout with celebrity trainer Ashley Borden, sessions, lunch with RunDisney (and Mickey Mouse!), evening activities and a group of us hitting the drag show which was so much fun.
Day 3 brought an early morning (6am!) yoga class, my first PiYo Strength and INSANITY
class (kicked my butt), more sessions and a trip to Alligator Soul for dinner. I had shrimp and grits and a Dixie Mule (a cocktail using Pink Lemonade moonshine). Oh and lots of selfies.
The last day of Fitbloggin’ started off bright and early with a 5K run (I actually walked). We had a surprise visitor in Jeff Galloway and I had a total fangirl moment when I got to meet him. The route was gorgeous and I got to see lots of the city. I took a roomie selfie before heading home. Julie and I made a quick stop in Tybee Island to see the Atlantic then we started the long journey home.
It was a fabulous trip and I can’t wait to share what I learned over the next few days
