Hello divas! Happy Labor Day to my readers in the U.S. I hope that all of you have a nice, relaxing day planned with family and friends. I am thrilled to be spending the day with the hubby 🙂
Each Monday here at Divas Run for Bling, I recap my week and set some goals for next week. Today I am doing something a little different. Since it is September 1st, I will be reviewing my month of August instead of just last week (though last week was a pretty decent week). So without further ado, here is how my month went.
This Month in Review August 2014
Running. While I didn’t get as much running as I had hoped mileage wise in this month, I did run a pretty steady schedule of running 3 days a week. My total mileage was 36 miles (the month started slow).
Focus T25. Where I lacked in running, I more than made up for with Shaun T. and Focus T25. I completed the Alpha cycle this month and have started Beta. Focus T25 has allowed me to workout 5-6 days each week this month.
Nutrition & Weight. My nutrition was much improved this month. While I still had a few issues with too much eating out, I did manage to cook at home more this month. I only lost a few pounds, but thanks to all the workouts, I am looking and feeling better than I did at the beginning of the month. I finally got under 160lbs so that was exciting.
Runspirational in Nashville. On the blogging front, I was asked to serve as a Runspirational for the Women’s Running Half Marathon in Nashville the end of this month. I am super excited to be doing this race and will be blogging all about it here at Divas Run for Bling. If you would like to join me in Nashville, you can use the code WRSHEATHER and get $10 off your registration for the half marathon.
Newsletter redesign. Lastly, I have been working this month to redesign The Divas Digest, the weekly newsletter of Divas Run for Bling. I am happy to say that it will be relaunched this week. Each Saturday, subscribers will receive an email containing news, pins and photos of the week, links to the posts, health news/tips from around the internet and a healthy recipe. There will also be some exclusive deals on some of my favorite brands just for my readers. The first issue of this revamped newsletter will be sent out this Saturday so be sure you are subscribed so you don’t miss out!
- Running. I plan to continue to run at least 3 days a week, 4 if I can manage it. This includes more long runs to train for upcoming races.
- Fitness. This month I will finish the Beta cycle of Focus T25. Also, I will continue to workout at least 5 days each week between my running and T25 training.
- Nutrition/weight. I will make an effort to eat out less. I want to begin menu planning so that we can save money at the grocery store and cook at home more.
- Races. September will see a return to racing. My fall race schedule will begin with 2 half marathons this month – the Diva Half Marathon in Peachtree City, GA this weekend and the Women’s Running Half Marathon in Nashville the last weekend of the month.
