The Move Nourish Believe Challenge week 3 is complete. This has been such a wonderful three week challenge and I would like to thank the sponsors, Fit Approach and Lorna Jane Athletic. It has been a time of reflection and really taking a look at my life and appreciating what I am doing and making changes to improve the areas where I am not doing so well.
Week 3’s theme was Believe and the challenge all had to do with reflection and looking at my mental and emotional health. I found it uplifting and a chance to reflect after the first 2 weeks of the challenge which dealt with being active and eating healthy. So here is how my week’s challenges went:
Monday – Spoil Yourself. I LOVED this day. I love times where I can just take a break and doing something for myself. I spend so much time trying to make sure that I am eating healthy that I don’t always get to eat the things I want. So for this challenge, I treated myself to a yummy (and completely unhealthy) brownie sundae from Dairy Queen.
Tuesday – Mindful Minutes. The goal today was to find 5 minutes to meditate and find my zen. I did my 5 minutes of meditating right before bedtime and found it to be a great way to unwind and rest easier.
Wednesday – Be happy. Today’s challenge was to show my happy place. While I do have some places that make me happy (Disney World, Disneyland, my craft/hobby room, the Riverwalk where I do my long runs), my happy place is pretty much anywhere my husband and “fur children” are. I love just spending time with them whether it’s out somewhere or curled up on the couch at home.
Thursday – Thankful Thursday. I was to show what I am thankful for today. See my Thankful Thursday blog post.
Friday – Share the love. I was challenged to give a shout out to my #1 supporter and motivator. I chose my best friend, soulmate and husband, Erich. No matter what I decide to do or not do, he is always there supporting me.
