Hello divas! I hope that you had a fantastic weekend and are looking forward to a wonderful week ahead. Mine was pretty good as I spent it in Savannah, GA with the hubby. But now I am back and getting back on track.
If you are a reader of this blog, you know I love my protein shakes. I usually have one most days of the week (it helps to replace my daily multivitamins among other things). So I am always trying to recreate some of my favorite flavors and make them healthier and into a shake – such as snickerdoodle.
I just love snickerdoodles – especially around the holidays. So today I thought that I would share a new, easy healthy recipe – my snickerdoodle protein smoothie.
If you read this blog from time to time, you know I love me some protein smoothies and shakes (see my skinny mint green shamrock shake, peanut butter apple pie protein smoothie or my healthy strawberry mocha frappuccino). They are super easy to make, healthy and oh so delicious. They also have so many uses. You an use it as a meal replacement in most cases (which is great if you are trying to lose a little weight), a healthy snack (oh so good when it’s hot), or as a pre or post-workout fueling option.
For this particular recipe, I used the vanilla Shakeology which is loaded with tons of protein and essential nutrients. I have been drinking Shakeology for over a year now and it has helped even out my digestive system, replace taking a daily multivitamin (there are that many in these shakes), helped to even out my blood sugar and sugar cravings, helped to lower my cholesterol and give me a daily sweet fix which helps the healthy eating. However, you can use any vanilla nutritional or protein powder you like – it will work the same way. I also used vanilla almond milk but any milk is fine. The same goes for the peanut butter. If you can’t have or don’t like peanut butter, another nut butter should work. If you want a nutritional boost, you can also add some greek yogurt if you like.
