I usually use Thursdays to share my favorite recipe of the week. Recipe Thursday will be returning next week. In the meantime, I will be doing something a little different this week.
This week the Move Nourish Believe Challenge, sponsored by Lorna Jane Active and FitApproach, has been focusing on the theme believe. I will be writing a recap of the week here on the blog on Saturday. Today’s challenge is Thankful Thursday – to share the things I’m thankful for.
My husband Erich. He is my best friend and my soul mate. He supports me no matter what crazy scheme I come up with and makes me smile daily.
My “fur children.” My husband and I do not have kids yet, but we do have 2 cats and a chihuahua named Dixie who thinks she’s human. They are our constant companions and always find a way to cheer us up.
Best friends. Who else will dress up with you at a Disney race all the way in California?
Race bling. I love running as it is a great way to stay fit and healthy, relieve stress and escape the pressures of everyday life. I have such an appreciation for the world around me thanks to my runs. Oh and I also love that I can get some bling by completing races that I would have done for the heck of it.
RunDisney. I can honestly say that if it had not been for the chance to run at Disney World and Disneyland, I would probably not have taken up running long distances in the first place. I am so glad I did as it has changed me life. And while I am not doing any RunDisney races this year, I plan on returning to the two castles to run again soon.
Theme races. I love theme races. They are typically shorter (5K or so) which makes it easy to convince my family and non-running friends to join. Here I am at the Duck Dash 5K with my cousin Maegan after finishing her first ever 5K.
My health. Lastly, I am thankful that I am living a fit and healthy life. I feel good, I look good, and I can do the things I want (like run half marathons) without too many issues.
I love to hear from my readers! What things are you thankful for?
