Hello divas! I hope that your post-Christmas Week has gotten off to a great start and that you are making some fabulous plans for New Year’s this weekend. I have been busy planning for the upcoming year and I cannot wait for what is ahead. But this week is all about looking back on 2015. Yesterday I shared my top 10 healthy recipes of 2015 so be sure to check them out if you have not already done so. Today I am turning to fitness. Fitness is such a big part of my life and I have learned so much while on this health and fitness journey that I wanted to share with all of you fabulous readers. From running tips to get you started running and walking your way to being fit to easy workouts that you can do from home when you are short of time to hit the gym or the weather just really sucks, there was something that everyone at any point on their journey could relate to and learn from. So today I want to share my top 5 posts that got you diva fit in 2015.
Build Your Own HIIT Routine. This by far was my most popular post of the year. I am a big fan of high intensity interval training and this workout is so easy to follow. Depending on time, equipment and fitness level, you simply pick out exercises from each category and combine to make your own customized workout. It is easy, fun and you can get a different workout every time you do it.
How NOT to Train for a Half Marathon. There are so many posts out on the internet (this blog included) that share how train to run a race. This post was all about some of the lessons I have learned along the way of running my 12 (and counting) half marathons and sharing what not to do if you want to train for one (or any race for that matter).
Benefits of Using the Run-Walk Method. The Run-Walk Method of running was how I got started running to begin with. It makes going for a run so doable when you are wanted to take that very first step. This post was all about how I got started running and why I still use this method to this day.
Safety Tips for Running in the Dark. I spend a lot of time running in the dark or near dark conditions. Between shortened days in the winter or super hot days in the summer, I always seem to run when there isn’t always a lot of light. So it was very important to share some safety tips to do so safely.
4×4 Cardio & Strength Circuit Training Workout. This was another one of my workouts that you can do from home. This is a full-body workout that is easy-to-follow and combines both cardio and strength training for a full body workout.
