Hello divas! I hope that your week has gone well and that you are super excited for what I hope will be another fabulous weekend. I know that school is starting back for many of you. Here in Tennessee it started earlier this week. With the start of school, it’s safe to say that the summer is coming to an end. And what better way to celebrate than with another easy healthy recipe that is refreshing and relaxing after all the preparations for the beginning of the school year – my watermelon lime white wine spritzer made with Vintage Sparkling Water.
I love using sparkling water in my spritzer recipes. It is a healthy way to add a little bubbly fun while still being healthy (see the sparkling water nutritions facts). Vintage Sparkling Water is no different. It is made with natural flavors, gluten-free, and has no artificial flavors or added colors or dyes. It is fat free, calorie free, very low in sodium, has no high fructose corn syrup, no sugar and is made with natural fruit flavors. It also comes in several flavors: Cucumber Melon, Lime, Lemon, Original, Pink Grapefruit, Coconut.
I was very excited to try out a couple of these flavors (cucumber melon and lime) in the goody box I was sent for this campaign. It contained everything I needed to get started with my end of summer celebration. I really enjoyed both of the flavors as they were light, refreshing and as a bonus helped me stay hydrated.
When it came time to try a new recipe, I knew I wanted to use the lime flavor in a light and refreshing white wine spritzer. So I went to Kroger to pick up a 12 pack of the Vintage Lime Sparkling Water to use in the recipe.
This recipe is super easy to make. Basically you take the watermelon and a little raw honey and puree it into the blender. When it is blended, pour into the bottom of your desired glasses (about 1/4 the way full). Then you will add equal parts lime flavored Vintage Sparkling Water and a white wine of your choice (I chose a fabulous Moscato). Garnish with some extra watermelon and you are ready to celebrate the end to what was hopefully a wonderful summer and what will be a fantastic school year. Please drink responsibly.
