Hi all! Welcome to another edition of The Weekly Report where I share what happened last week here on Divas Run for Bling and set some goals for the upcoming week. So without further ado, here is the rundown of my week.
Workouts. It was not such a good exercise week running wise. The week was rather stressful with a few later days at work and family obligations getting in the way (I will also admit I wasn’t too motivated this week either). I did manage to workout 4 days and did some cross-training and kettlebells though so it wasn’t all lost.
Fat Tuesday. This week was Mardi Gras. I wanted to celebrate Fat Tuesday with some crockpot jambalaya but that didn’t work out too well. Cooking tip of the week: be sure to turn the crockpot on to cook before you leave the house in the morning.
Ash Wednesday and Lent. After Fat Tuesday came Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. I decided this year to not give up anything per se. Instead, I am focusing on eating clean. Check out my 10 Tips for Clean Eating and my Clean Eating Crockpot Chicken Casserole recipe.
Idea Inspired Blogger. One cool thing that happened this week was that I was named an Idea Inspired Blogger by Ideafit. I am so excited to be a part of this group of bloggers and fitness people. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Goals for this week
This is going to be a rather slow week with nothing much planned thus far. But here is what I do want to accomplish.
- Workouts. As my 2 half marathons are less than 2 weeks away, I will be running 4-5 times this week in at attempt to keep my fitness level where it should be. I also want to do some cross-training and/or strength training work at least twice.
- Clean eating. Lent continues this week with more clean eating. It has been okay so far so I am hoping that it continues to go well.
