Hello divas and welcome to another week here at Divas Run for Bling. I hope your weekend was fabulous and you are ready for another health and fitness filled week. Here at Divas Run for Bling, I share a quick recap of the happenings of the past week and set some goals for the upcoming week each Monday in what I call The Weekly Report. So here is a rundown of my week.
The Weekly Report August 18
Running. So my running was not so good this week. I actually ran 2 days this week for a total of 4.5 miles. A little lacking but I made some pretty good progress and averaged under 15 minutes/mile.
Hiking trip. What I lacked in running, I made up for it on Sunday when the hubby and I took a hiking trip to one of our favorite spots, Cloudland Canyon State Park near Trenton, GA. We hiked around 5.5 miles. This was less than the long run I had planned, but it was a very strenuous 5.5 miles which included 1200 steps to get down the canyon to the waterfalls. Miles are miles and these were tough ones. I really wish the waterfalls had been bigger, though. It just hasn’t rained enough for the big ones I am used to seeing.
Other fitness. I slacked a bit this week with the Focus T25. I only did 4 of the 6 workouts this week. I feel pretty good about it though. This was my last week of the Alpha cycle so I will be starting Beta this week. Be sure to stay tuned on Wednesday when I share my Alpha results and what I thought about the program so far.
Nutrition. My nutrition was hit and miss this week, but my fitness really helped with the extra calories on a couple of the days.
Runspirational. I was contacted by Women’s Running magazine this week to serve as a Runspirational for their upcoming Half Marathon in Nashville in late September. I am super excited and will be blogging more about the specifics tomorrow so stay tuned. - Running. I plan on running 4 days this week and my long run will be for 2 hours (about 8 miles).
- Fitness. I start Focus T25 Beta today with Core Cardio. I plan on doing all 6 of the workouts this week for a total of 6 days of workouts.
- Nutrition. I will continue to count all my calories and am trying to focus on the individual nutrients I am putting into my body. I want to increase my protein in particular this week.
